Dear Den.

Thanks a million for being the best! I was dreading the journey for several reasons. I had a bad car accident the previous year and severely injured my back and I am still suffering from back and sciatic pain.... And travelling with 3 cats, one of which is as feral as you can get (Kitty, the black cat)...all 3 which are not used to travel at all and "Miaou" all the way to and back from the vet.... Plus there is the factor that we had to spend 2 days with....no offense... but a complete stranger!

I have to say that except for the never-ending traffic jams through Holland and Germany (which is completely without anyone's control), everything couldn't have been more perfect! So Top thumbs all the way! We stopped just the right amount of times for necessary hygiene, refreshments and food. My feral "Kitty" settled down beautifully and you left her alone so she didn't stress with having a stranger nearby. She wouldn't eat so we stopped and bought fried fish for her. The 2 Norvegian Forest cats, "Smokey" and Misty" just ended up sleeping the most of the journey except for mummy cuddles here and there. What else can you ask for?

Julio, your "wee man", was also accompanying us and he was just a gem! Adorable. Slept all the way once in the car, then out for food, a walk, play and cuddles, what a wonderful wee dog and so well behaved! Didn't bother about any of us, happily let me walk him and gave me kisses!!!!

From the cats' point of view, it was just an excuse to sleep next to mummy until we got to our new home where dad was waiting. Kitty came home and within 10 minutes was completely at home! The two of us had moved twice in the past and thus within the same town and yet, this was definitely the easiest move we had! The Norvegians being also rescued animals, this was their first move since they became part of the family and although it took them a couple of hours to get settled, they soon realised this had been the price to pay to stay a family.....and move to a house 3 times bigger.... and they LOVE it! I think we would all be upset if we had to go back!!!!!

From my perspective, I know that I am a very very difficult person to please and can quite happily report that the trip was just perfect! I settled as soon as my "children" did. Not knowing a person, you managed to have conversation going all the way. I didn't even have to pick up a book or nothing... By the end of the trip, I don't know about you, but it felt like we had known you for years.... Nothing was too much trouble for you, you are just a very open and easy-going person, chatty and "bubbly".

Let's put it this way, should we ever move or go on holiday with the "weans", you will deff be the one and only person I will call. If you ever are in our area, please do visit us!!!!

Just a note to say a big 'THANK YOU' for the really excellent trip from North Cyprus to the Dordogne, France. The planning that went into the journey ... which must have taken hours ... all worked very well and we had a trouble-free trip. How much better it was to travel with our 3 doggies than to put them on an aircraft, frightened and all alone. We would recommend you without reservation to anyone who wanted to accompany their pets anywhere in Europe. We, as passengers got to see the scenery as well ... a lovely bonus. One last point ... we were very impressed by the care and affection you showed to our girls ... proof positive by the way they welcomed you last week when you paid us a flying visit!

Hi Den, what can I say, except a massively big thank you for transporting both Charlie Chan (my Shih Tzu) and I back from Fuengirola, Spain to High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. I was somewhat fraught before we set-off ..... upset about leaving Spain after 15 years of working and living there, and apprehensive about returning to England to elderly family and relatives. Your calm nature, sense of humour, and passion and interest in all the surrounding areas that we passed through quickly calmed me down, as did the soothing tones of Ken (the Sat Nav)! I have to say your love and care of animals shined through as Charlie was rather vocal on the first part of the journey and you took it all in your stride, as did Julio!

I thoroughly enjoyed the journey, the stops for refreshment and dog walking (particularly the waterfall stop), and the over-night stays, in fact, I would love to do it all over again with you, extending the journey longer to be able to explore in more detail some of the incredible places along the way. You had everything arranged, from the route, the overnight hotels, and the crossing from France to the UK; it was a pleasure to be able to sit back, think, talk and enjoy the journey and the company.

I was pleased that the chance came up to share the journey with another lady and her Cocker Spaniel, Lizzie. Dianne and Lizzie were the perfect travelling companions, and I will definitely be keeping in touch with both her and yourself.

I would wholeheartedly recommend your service time and time again for anyone wishing to transport their pet(s) from one place or country to another, in true ease and comfort. I cannot speak highly enough of the bespoke service you provided. If you would like anyone to contact me to provide any further reference, then I am more than happy to do so. Well, what is there to say about Juli and Den? Lets start with the star of the operation, Juli. What a little charmer he is, he takes care to ensure that the doggie side of things runs smoothly and that the canine guests (and feline too I imagine) feel totally at home and at ease at the start of the journey by, well...........sleeping!! My mum's two ancient dogs, settled quickly into the routine, and after a bit of squeaking, soon enjoyed the trip, and fell asleep too.

As to the human side, I have to say that Juli chose his human with great care, and both my mum and I found Den to be charming. She showed my mum great care and compassion when she took ill on the journey, and gave me much needed moral support, above and beyond the call of duty, whilst we dashed to the hospital. She cared for the dogs whilst I was with mum and nothing was too much trouble, even though her schedule was thrown out by over 24 hours. We resumed our journey the next day without any further problems.

The chosen hotels are clean and reasonably priced and the animals are very welcome. Den's experience and expertise shines throughout the journey, and she will offer great local information along the way if that is what interests you and will point out any places of interest or beauty.

Other companies I looked at, offered the trip over 2 days, with only a couple of very short stops for the dogs to exercise, I am glad I read between the lines. Our animals need regular breaks throughout the journey, as do the humans, Although we had unforeseen problems with my mother becoming ill, I have to say that the journey was still a great experience and certainly a stress-free and perfect way to move your pets from one location to another.

I would recommend Den and her little sleeping partner, Juli, to anyone. If fact if you ask Den for my email address I will be more than happy to give personal testament to the first class service we received.

"I was very worried about how to take our two cats from Madrid to the UK. There was only one thing I was sure of: the trip had to be done by road. I was told that Denise was a very competent and nice person to relocate us. And they were right: It was the best decision I could have made. She really knows how to deal with animals and humans alike.

The cats were relaxed in the car and very happy being allowed to be with me in the hotel rooms at night - another big concern for me. She sorted out all the vet stuff very competently and eventually we all arrived happy, sane and safe. The trip was a very pleasant experience, completely unstressful and enjoyable. Julillo is absolutely lovely and he made things even nicer. Coffe is very happy with his picture! By the way, he has met a lovely cat-friend (Lulu). They spend all day and night (!!!) talking to each other! Definitely, we will recommend Den and Julillo to anyone relocating their pets."

“We had a great trip down to Spain at the end of February with Den and Juli. They picked us up in Kingston and explained everything about the trip. We were a bit concerned about Ruby who is 3 years old and has taken a dislike to travelling – she was fine as a puppy! Den put our minds at rest about the whole thing, and Ruby was very happy in her crate with her cushion, and Juli next to her in his. After the first day she was happily jumping in and out whenever we stopped for lunch or coffee. Den had arranged perfect overnight stops in pet friendly hotels and we had great dinners locally, and Den is great company with plenty of interesting conversation. The weather during the trip in France was not too good – cold and rainy (it was February!) but the first morning into Spain was sunny and we had a lovely day driving down to Algorfa.

Being as he is now 19, I was very loathe to put Sooty through a stressful air flight to southern Spain and car journey either end, so was really pleased to be able to have such a really easy way of transporting him (and myself) to our new home.

Thanks to you and Julio for making our journey such an easy and friendly experience and one I would recommend to anybody who has faithful companions to transport to anywhere on the continent. Den and Julio have the experience and the means!!!

I recently made the trip to the UK from Moraira. The journey had been planned for my friend to travel with her 3 dogs and 1 cat. Unfortunately my friend Tina had been taken ill during a visit to UK and was unable to return to Spain and make the journey back with her fur kids. I stepped in to travel with Ella, Buddy, Mimi & Jazz, and as I hadn’t had any contact with Den I was unsure of what to expect, along with the huge responsibility of accompanying my friends beloved pets.

From the outset Den made sure all of us were comfortable and we found her to be a very warm, caring and friendly person. The whole journey was perfectly planned; the Hotels were all pet friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of opportunities for the pets to stretch their legs and we all enjoyed the trip. Throughout the journey Den was great company...we didn’t have the radio on once!! It was also reassuring when Den was able to speak both French and Spanish along the way, and even though we had a small problem with Buddy’s passport at Customs Den managed to sort it out without any of us getting stressed. My friend Tina had finally been allowed home from hospital the day we arrived and was delighted to be re-united with her fur kids.

When my mother and I decided to return to England after a period in Mallorca, one of our major worries was Pedro, our West Highland Terrier. As you know, he is almost ten years old and has been with us constantly since he was parted from his mother at two months. We therefore could neither have him confined in order to travel by air nor let him travel with strangers. What we both wished for was to travel with him but with somebody else doing the driving but we didn’t think that such an option was possible. Fortunately, however, we were recommended to you and were pleased that you could offer us all that we wished for.

Having safely reached our destination in England I thought that I would write to thank you for all that you did to make our three-day journey both run smoothly and be comfortable. From meeting us at our hotel in Mallorca on Tuesday 25th January to dropping us off at our destination on Friday 28th January, you took all the worry and uncertainty out of the journey and dealing with the formalities of Pedro’s importation into England and we do thank you very much.

Thank you also for your kindness to my mother who was, as you know, 96 years old on 29th January and for whom, in other hands, the journey could have been a great trial.

I would have no hesitation in recommending your capable and professional service to anyone and also thank your own dog, Julio, for his company and example of behaviour to Pedro. He is a lovely dog.

Hello Everyone.

After 15 years of living in Northern Cyprus, my mother and father decided it was time to return to England. My mother’s major worry was arranging transport for her 4 cats and 3 dogs, particularly her 16 year old Cyprus Hunting Dog Dora. She could not (would not) risk letting them travel by air or travel with strangers due to certain health problems Dora had. What my parents decided was for me to travel with the animals but with somebody else doing the driving, arranging the accommodation, sorting the ferries out and ensuring all documentation was correct and in place. Fortunately, my Mother found Den and she promised she could deliver everything we requested and, believe me, she did.

The journey from Northern Cyprus to France (my parents are staying there until their house in England is completed) took eight days. The majority was driving over land but included 3 long ferry trips. And what did the animals think to all this? Well the cats stayed in the Mercedes for the complete journey, it was far safer than air travel and yes, they did moan a bit, but soon got into the swing of it and Den always ensured we were parked in a secure hotel car park so I had no worry about leaving them. The dogs had the best holiday of their life. They thoroughly enjoyed it. A new hotel every night, a new bed to jump and sleep on and, as for Dora, she came alive again; no longer a doddery old girl but interested in all the new places to sniff and walk about on. When we arrived in France and they were all reunited with their Mum, that was good too, but when it was time for Den to leave they were all ready to get back in the cages ready for the next exciting journey!

As for me, I too had a brilliant, if not tiring holiday. Den is very easy to get on with and is more than willing to help in any way (even when our Dora had a slight tummy upset Den sorted it out with a few buckets of soapy water and not a bat of an eyelid!)

I have no hesitation in recommending Den and her professional service to anyone. I would also like to thank Den very much for putting my mother at ease on a number of occasions over the 3 years it finally took my parents to move.

When Den first told me that my girls would have to travel in cages, although I had no qualms about it myself– after all it was for their well being, I did expect some serious reactions from my dogs. After that the whole journey from the Costa del Sol to the French Alps was plain sailing. In fact I would go as far as saying Sandy couldn’t wait to get back into her “deluxe room”. Hi both, it's Arthur(Arti) here! Remember me, I own Debra and Peter and you transported us on Dec 12th from our home in Somerset to Villingen in the Black Forest, Germany! Debra asked me give you some feedback of our trip with you! Well I think you are fabulous, so is Julio and your Mercedes car is the best!! So all cats like me, and dogs like Julio, any animal in fact, must travel this way. It was so comfortable, warm, enjoyable, easy, stress-free and relaxing. Everything was planned in advance by Den and she was really sweet to me and made me a nice bed in a big cage and she gave me water, litter tray etc. My mum had nothing to worry about, as I know she was worried and stressed before we left for our trip and when Den turned up on the day of departure she gave my mum a hug and she felt better! Den stopped the car a few times on the journey they all got out ( I stayed in my lovely cosy cage) they said they were stretching their legs! how funny is that! Anyway I snoozed and when I opened my eyes I could see all that was going on! Julio kept me company all the way and made me feel welcome, he was a gentle calming doggie.

I will never forget Julio or Den and all animals should choose PetChauffeur. You are guaranteed an excellent service.

Sassy and I had a lovely trip with Den and Julio. We left Isle of Cumbrae, Scotland on Sunday morning and arrived in Albir, Costa Blanca on Tuesday evening. We enjoyed our journey through France, Den pointed out all the sites!! We were very comfortable and there was plenty of room in Den's vehicle for all our luggage. Julio, Den's little dog, is really sweet and even Sassy who is not the most sociable of dogs got on with him! Much better than putting a well loved companion in the hold of a plane.

On organising best route, Vet, Hotels & Ferry, in addition to having a timing deadline & linking all the itinerary in. I would not have known where to begin. You took away all of that worry, all we had to do was sit back and enjoy.  I never imagined the 3-day journey with a pet could be so stress free.

Your skill & knowledge came to the fore as we started our journey with you checking Lagar’s passport (which my vet had assured me was all okay). You discovered alterations that had not been stamped by my vet. You were immediately aware that this would prevent us departing customs check in France.  Without hesitation you digressed on our journey to meet up with my vet in Spain for her to correct the passport detail.
Going it alone, without your expertise, I would have made a two day journey through Spain & France only to be turned away … Thank you so much for your skills & knowledge.

Lagar loved her cage and travelled so safely in there. I was amazed how she took to it so quickly and couldn’t wait to get back in. I have also taken your advice and purchased a car safety harness for her.

The Mercedes is such a comfortable vehicle and great to have access to a fridge which ensured I could maintain my special diet needs on the journey by bringing along some of my essential food items.

This is a genuine solution to the problem of moving your pets, who will be happier and less stressed in your company. The indoor kennels in which they travel may look like cages, but, to your pets, they are airy, comfortable, and reassuring spaces where they feel safe. My elderly dog relaxed all the way from Gibraltar to the UK. The frequent halts for walking were good for both of us. You'll enjoy the trip, appreciating the countryside. Den is both knowledgeable and capable, and she and Julio her little dog are delightful travelling companions.

When we first contacted Den about bringing ourselves and our three little dogs over to the UK from Spain, our main concern was about them being in cages. However, Den reassured us that the dogs are quite alright, because they are right there beside us all the time.

This was certainly true and I was amazed at how at-ease they were, very comfortable and mostly sleeping. We were so pleased - to say the least!

Thank you so much for making the trip back to England so easy for my dog, cat and me! I very much enjoyed your company and, of course, Julio’s, who became great friends with my dog, Sam!

All the hotel rooms were booked well in advance and I was very impressed, as they were not only cheap, but very, very clean. Well chosen! We caught the very early ferry and checking the animals in went smoothly, even though we caught it by the skin of our teeth (but that’s another story!).

The actual journey was amazing, leaving Fuengirola in sunshine and reaching Northern Spain with snow on the ground. France is a great place to drive, with lots of stop-off points to walk our dogs and stretch our human legs as well. Drivers are well catered-for along the motorways.

Luckily we had some time on our hands, so we decided to go slowly and explore La Rochelle (great crepes) and Le Mont St. Michel.

Thank you Den, I could do it all over again. I wish I could – in reverse - and return to the beautiful Costa del Sol. I was really worried about taking my pets back to the UK, but Den made it so easy and comfortable, that we all sat back and enjoyed the ride.

I just wanted to write and thank you again for taking such good care of me and my French Bulldog, Frodo, on our trip from the Costa Blanca to England. I have to be honest and say I wasn't looking forward to such a long trip but as there was no way I could consider leaving Frodo with strangers I felt I had no choice. As it was, the journey was very relaxed and good fun. The fact Frodo could stay with me over night and knew I was with him at all times in the car made all the difference, to both him and me. I felt completely relaxed knowing everything was organised from the hotels, ferry, legal paperwork to most importantly the meal stops (!!). Now Frodo is settled in his new home (despite the weather) and is still the same happy, playful, noisy little dog he was before. I would recommend Den to anyone wanting to move their animals without causing them any stress or discomfort. For me this was and is the only option.

We would like to THANK YOU for bringing us safely home to Co. Kildare in Southern Ireland, from Benalmádena Pueblo in the South of Spain. It was a most enjoyable trip and you were great company.  It was wonderful to meet Julio, your lovable gentle little dog.

For anyone considering bringing their pets from Spain to Ireland, I would certainly recommend they use Den.  I have in the past flown with our small dog Gizmo and it was an absolute nightmare for all of us. I now wish I had met Den when we first travelled to Spain and back to Ireland. When we travelled with Den, in her extremely comfortable car, Gizmo was with us at all times during the trip. We stayed in animal friendly hotels so Gizmo was able to stay in our room at night. Den had planned every thing from accommodation, euro tunnell, ferry crossing and vet appointment for tick and tape. She took care of every little detail and told us to sit back and enjoy the trip. Den's love of animals and her relaxed personality made the trip go without any hitches.

Thanks again Den, we now have two new wonderful friends, you and Julio! We will keep in touch.

I first used PetChauffeur when I brought my 2 rescued dogs over to Spain from West Africa. I was met at Barajas airport, Madrid, by Den and she drove us to Marbella. I was impressed with her service and also liked her very much. After a year I decided to return to London with the dogs, because they had been in Spain for over a year they wouldn't need to go into quarantine ... both had pet passports. I had no hesitation in contacting Den again and even though I was given cheaper quotes elsewhere I felt that the professionalism offered by her was second to none. My 2 dogs had already been through so much trauma in their lives that I wanted to keep the journey as stress-free as possible and that is what she provides. I really enjoyed my time on the road and hadn't expected to. Den and I got along famously and the time flew by. Our 6 animals (4 dogs and 2 cats) were our biggest worry when leaving Spain to return to the UK. I heard horror stories with regards to putting them in the hold of an aircraft which only substantiated my fears. Then there was all the paperwork, passports and signatures. It was number one priority to make the move as less stressful for our beloved animals as we could.

Den was recommended to me by my somewhat eccentric cattery owner! On speaking to Den she put our minds and worries to rest. Some of the paperwork can be confusing, however Den was more aware than my vets and explained all the requirements that had to be met. She explained the whole procedure for the animals and us humans! I wanted her to meet the animals prior to the trip, as she would be travelling with them for 3 days. Den dutifully came and on meeting with her we all bonded with her straightaway. Further more us humans could travel with our animals.

Den organised everything for us which was wonderful, accommodation, ferry crossings etc. Although what really made an impression on us was what a great person she is. She is kind, friendly and warm to both animals and owners and her great ability to manage and plan. Moving is such a stressful time but when you have to move your animals too that stress doubles. Den took all our stress away, supplied a wonderful service and even shared her evenings with Bilbo Baggins!

Without hesitation I would recommend Den for all the above reasons and many more. She made the move for our animals something to celebrate.

I cannot recommend Den Brown highly enough. I travelled to Spain from the UK with my two cats in August this year, and although the cats were not used to travelling at all, they were relaxed and happy throughout the long journey. There is not one detail that Den overlooks in her planning and on the journey. She is a true professional, and her high standards of care and professionalism are borne from a deep and abiding love and understanding of animals - and also people! Den is calm whilst being totally in charge of all arrangements, she is a wonderfully safe driver, with a positivity that seems to make everything flow easily and smoothly. And for owners who travel too, she is a lovely mixture of fun, sensitivity and consideration, and also a mine of information! Den has the experience and knowledge to cover any and all situations which could arise, but the flexibility to meet any specific needs of the animals and their human companions. She is perceptive in her assessment of each individual's needs - and animals just feel so at ease with her.

I honestly do feel very lucky that I was put in touch with Den when arranging my travel to Spain, it was a great journey, a really positive experience. She's brilliant! (and thank you to Julio, her little dog, too).

Having made the decision to emigrate from England to Spain, one of our biggest concerns was how we would transport Ellie, our beautiful 7-year-old Labrador, to her new life in the sun. Neither of us was comfortable with the idea of putting her on an aeroplane. Apart from the real horror stories we'd read about animals being lost, stolen, injured and even killed en route at airports in various countries (including Spain), we knew at the very least that she would be deeply stressed at being separated from us, put on a big noisy jet and flown to a strange place, not understanding what was happening to her.

We knew she had to travel over land but how? We didn't want to bring our English car over as they can be difficult to sell or re-plate in Spain. No UK car hire company would allow us to take a vehicle out of the country. We didn't want to use a conventional animal courier company because, again, we didn't want Ellie to have to travel without us. We were becoming increasingly perplexed until we discovered Den, the Pet Chauffeur! Her service was the answer to our prayers!

Den arrived on our doorstep in Scarborough (England) bright and early one February morning and, after loading a few small personal possessions (which were too precious to send with the removal men) into Den's luxury Mercedes 7-seater, Ellie jumped aboard and into her spacious, secure travelling crate. She had constant access to water and was able to keep an eye on us throughout the three-day journey. Having never been more than fifty miles from home (and only on a couple of occasions) in her life, Ellie took to international travel like a natural, just as Den had reassured us would be the case. She stayed with us overnight firstly in Le Mans (France) and then Pancorbo (Northern Spain) in comfortable pet-friendly accommodation selected by Den. There were regular stops for food, exercise and toilet (for us and Ellie!) and by the time we pulled into our new home in Nerja (Andalucia) we had all not only thoroughly enjoyed the experience but we had also made a valued new friend.

We would not hesitate to highly recommend Den's PetChauffeur service to anyone who believes that they and their pets deserve to travel in style!
