Your journey with PetChauffeur will be priced on a per-kilometre basis.

The exception to this is my standard service between Spain and the UK, in either direction, where the element of the journey between the Spanish location and Dover is charged at a flat fee. The flat fee also includes the Channel crossing with Eurotunnel.

My pricing isn't affected by the number of pets or accompanying owners, or the volume of luggage.

Your other expenses will include your hotel accommodation, meals and refreshments en route.

For trips that take you from continental Europe to the UK, you'll also need to pay:

 • vet fees for the obligatory anti-parasite treatment 24–48 hrs before your pet enters the UK

 • DEFRA pet passport checking fees at the French customs point
